Facts

Ahern (P) contracted with Knecht (D) to repair his air-conditioning unit. P was quoted a price of $643 to repair the unit of which $210 was to be for leveling the unit. P eventually paid D $762, and the unit was not fixed. The leveling job was also found to have consisted of merely shoveling some gravel from her patio under it. P then hired another company, and they fixed the unit for $72. The trial court found that P should have been charged $150 and then awarded P the difference of $762-$150+$72= $684. D appealed.
