Facts
P was in the thick of a dispute between the United Mine Workers and the Progressive Mine Workers. P sided with the United Mine Workers. P got his arm shot off during the course of events and sued several parties for conspiracy. P alleged he was a citizen of Oklahoma and filed in federal court under diversity. D filed a motion to dismiss; P was a citizen of Illinois. The motion was heard by the court.
