Ds were attorneys who opened a low-cost legal clinic. After two years of operation, they figured out that they could not survive unless they advertised. Ds placed an ad in the Arizona Republic, a daily newspaper, which stated that they were offering legal services for reasonable fees and they even had the unmitigated gall to list their fees for certain services. Ds conceded that this advertisement constituted a clear violation of 2-101(B). They were suspended for practice for one week. The result was affirmed, and eventually, it got to the U.S Supreme Court.
