Facts
Rockwell (P) had a contract with Louisville (D) to provide parking meters for a seven-month period at $54.20 per meter. D ordered 1,000 units and then declined delivery after P had built them. P sued for the contract price on the 1,000 meters; they were unsaleable and for the lost profit ($27.95) on 4,250 meters that P would have manufactured had D not breached. The trial court awarded P its requested damages. D appealed.
