Facts

Jean Marie (P) lived with Wilson Pickett (D) for ten years. P alleged that during this time D severely mistreated her and caused her physical injuries on numerous occasions. P alleges that D's conduct was part of a continuous course of conduct and constituted a pattern of violent behavior frequently associated with being intoxicated. On numerous occasions, P was required to seek medical attention from the attacks by D. P alleged that she was suffering from battered woman's syndrome. D moved to dismiss for failure to state a cause of action.
