Nature Of The Case

This section contains the nature of the case and procedural background.

Facts

P purchased an RV and brought it in several times for repair for defects. P eventually gave up and sued Ford who made the chassis and D who made the body, and Bridges who sold the RV to him. P sued in state court alleging breach of contract, violation of the Michigan Consumer Protection Act, and 15 U.S.C. 2301 among other claims. The case was removed to federal court with supplemental jurisdiction attaching to all of the state law claims. Most of the claims were dropped, and D moved for summary judgment. P appealed the grant of summary judgment to D.
