Facts
P purchased an engagement ring in contemplation of marriage and gave the ring to D. P then ended the relationship. The trial court determined that because the ring was given in contemplation of marriage, the marriage itself was a condition precedent to the ultimate ownership of the ring. As such the trial court ordered that the ring be returned to P. D appealed.
