Facts
Cambridge passed a statute requiring that adults not under guardianship and remaining within the limits of the city of Cambridge must submit to a regulation adopted by the Board of Health that they must get a smallpox vaccination or pay a $5 fine. D objected and claimed a violation of his constitutional rights. The state courts disagreed and D appealed.
