Facts

Konic (P) sued Spokane (D) for $5620 the price of a surge protector. An employee of D researched surge protectors and thought that the price of P's was $56.20 and issued a PO for that amount. The price was $5620. Upon discovery of the mistake, D disclaimed the contract and P sued for the full value. The magistrate court found for D under a theory that D's agent had no authority to enter into the contract. P appealed.
