Facts

P sued to recover damages for malicious prosecution. P won at trial and was awarded both compensatory and punitive damages. D appealed. The Appellate Division reversed the judgment on the law insofar as P was awarded punitive damages; it dismissed that part of the claim. The Division did affirm the findings of fact with respect to D’s liability for malicious prosecution.
