Facts

Richards (D) got two thugs, names Bryant and Squires to beat up her husband. She gave them the details of how to accomplish that task and promised to give each 5 pounds. The husband was assaulted, and the beating was quite minor in reality. The two thugs were convicted of a lesser charge and D was convicted of the serious charge of wounding with the intent to cause serious bodily harm. D appealed her conviction.
