Facts

D was charged with the molestation of a fifteen-year-old boy. D denied the accusations of the boy. At trial, there was an effort to put into evidence that the boy had a poor reputation for telling the truth. A pastor of the local church was then called to the stand and asked about the boy's reputation in the community. The prosecution objected, and that objection was sustained. D was convicted and appealed.
