Facts

Hall (D) was charged with killing Andrew Bryson. D shot Bryson while D was standing within North Carolina. Bryson was in Tennessee when the fatal wounds were inflicted, and Bryson died there. North Carolina tried D for murder. D claimed that unless Bryson received his wounds while he was in North Carolina, then D could not be tried for murder by North Carolina.
