Facts
P is the son of Susan Woods. The decedent, Susan Woods lived at the Hotel Alms, and P lived with his family about one mile distant therefrom. For the last six years of her life, P provided personal attention and in assisting her in managing her property, consisting of securities of the value of about $80,000. P sued D seeking to recover additional compensation for his services to Susan. P presented evidence at that that many people heard Susan say multiple times that P would be paid for his services to her. The trial court directed a verdict to D and P appealed.
