Facts

P and D had a debt conditioned upon D procuring a marriage for P to a Bridget Palmer on or before the Feast of St. Bartholomew. D plead that P, before the feast, came to Bridget and called her a whore, told her he would tie her to a post and called her various other words and as such D was prevented from procuring the marriage before the deadline. P demurred.
