Brimelow v. Casson Chancery Division,

1923.,1 Ch. 302. (1924)

Facts

Brimelow (P) underpaid the women in his burlesque troupe (King Wu Tut Tut Revue). They were forced to resort to prostitution in order to live, and one girl was even compelled to live in immorality with a dwarf who was a member of the company. The secretary of the Actors' Association (D) persuaded theater owners to cancel the group's contracts unless higher wages were paid. P sued the union's representative, D, to enjoin them from inducing the breaches of contract.
