Facts
Inman (P) contracted to work for Clyde Hall Drilling Co. (D). The employment contract required P to give D 30 days notice for any claims arising from P's employment. D fired P on March 24. P filed suit against D on April 5 for breach of contract. D was served with P's complaint on April 14. D moved for a summary judgment; P failed to give written notice of his claim. D's motion was granted. P appealed.
