Facts

H and W were married on August 8, 1954, and separated on April 15, 1972. The court divided the community property, awarding H community personal property worth $98,509.60 and W community personal property worth $19,695.55. It directed sale of the family residence, valued at $140,000. It ordered the proceeds of the sale applied first to reimburse H for traceable separate funds used to maintain that asset, with the balance 'divided between the parties in a fashion which will equalize the division of the parties' community property.' The court made no mention of tax liability for the sale of the house. W appealed.
