Nature Of The Case
This section contains the nature of the case and procedural background.
Facts
Evidence showed that W had worked doing chores on several ranches which were bought and sold prior to the purchase of the ranch in question. H agreed that W had engaged in a large number of activities related to the actual running of the ranches. The evidence also showed that the wife’s earnings were used to make the down payment on the initial ranch property whose proceeds were later reinvested in subsequent properties and that she had bought all the household furniture and all the appliances except a stove. The land and other ranch assets were held in the H’s name only. W wanted half of those assets. The trial court refused, and this appeal resulted.
