Facts
D, his wife, their two infant children, and Rootes were riding in a car. D was driving, and his wife and one child were riding in the front seat. Rootes and the other child were riding in the back seat. D stopped to pick up a hitchhiker, Reppert. Reppert was riding in the back seat when Rootes pulled a knife and took Reppert's wallet, which contained $2. D pulled the car over, and Reppert exited, and Rootes took Reppert's watch. D said nothing and did nothing during the entire incident. The watch was valued at $50.00. D was indicted as accessory before the fact. D moved for a directed verdict. The court denied the motion, and D was convicted. D appealed.
