Lorrick pled guilty and testified for the prosecution at D's trial. The group of five drove around and eventually stopped to do the crime. D went to a building across the street while the break-in and murder occurred. D took the stand and testified that he was in no way involved in the plans of Lorrick and Williams. D claimed he went across the street was to seek a friend who he thought would help him find employment. D appealed his conviction.
