Facts

Lorraine (D) bought copier machines from Royal (P) over an 18-month period. In August of 1986, D filed suit against P for claims of breach of warranty and fraud. In September P sued D for on the financing arrangements. These cases were consolidated, and the trial court awarded D $1,171216.16 in compensatory and punitive damages and $156,800 in attorney fees. The issues at trial were the breach of express warranties by D and implied warranties of merchantability. D appealed.
