Facts
Russell (D) was convicted of violating 2 U.S.C. Section 192 by refusing to answer certain questions when summoned before a congressional subcommittee investigating un-American propaganda activities in the United States. A motion was filed to quash the grand jury indictment on grounds that the indictment failed to state the subject under investigation at the time the subcommittee interrogated D. That motion was denied. The Supreme Court granted certiorari.
