Facts

Defendant Selwyn was a post office employee who was responsible for office paperwork and maintenance. While working, Selwyn stole a dress that a mail order customer was attempting to return. The defendant then returned the dress to the store and sought a cash refund. Store employees became suspicious and notified authorities. Selwyn was convicted of embezzlement.
