Facts
Defendant Whitlock was a bank officer who stole $85,000 from the bank vault. She had been entrusted with a key and combination to the vault. Whitlock entered the vault and took the cash while she was working. Investigators discovered suspicious deposits in Whitlock's bank account. She was subsequently charged and convicted of embezzlement.
