Facts
Williams (D) underwent forty minutes of custodial interrogation before he was given Miranda warnings. The trial court denied a suppression of his incriminating statements. D was convicted on two counts of murder, but obtained federal habeas relief from a federal district court on Miranda grounds. The U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit affirmed.
